Kamil Kovar is an associate director and economist at Moody’s Analytics, where he works as lead economist for euro zone forecasting. In this role, he forecasts euro zone financial variables and outlines the overall euro zone macroeconomic outlook. Kamil holds a PhD in Economics and Econometrics from CERGE-EI in Prague, an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics, and a BSc in Political Science from the University of Economics in Prague.
Katrina Ell, Director and Senior Economist at Moody's Analytics, delves dive into the economic trends shaping Asia-Pacific in 2025. After an already upbeat 2024, Asia will benefit from easier monetary policy settings across the globe in 2025. China and India will keep marching to their own beat. Southeast Asia’s exports are already mending and should improve further next year.
Katrina Ell is a director in the Sydney office of Moody’s Analytics, where she leads the economic analysis and forecasting activities for the Asia-Pacific research team. Katrina closely monitors regional and global economic developments and is responsible for baseline forecasting and scenario creation. In addition, Katrina specializes in monetary policy and inflation dynamics. She is a trusted spokesperson for Moody’s Analytics and appears frequently on CNBC, Bloomberg and CNN as well as in publications such as The Wall Street Journal and Financial Times. She regularly speaks at Moody’s Analytics and industry events on global and regional economic outlooks. Katrina is an industry partner for the economics division of Macquarie University, where she mentors students and provides an industry perspective on the curriculum. Before joining Moody’s Analytics, Katrina worked as an analyst at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority. She holds a master’s degree in applied economics and a bachelor’s degree in economics (honours) from Macquarie University.
