The fintech companies in the CEE region have emerged as key players not only in transforming traditional financial services but also in attracting robust venture capital investments.
Recent analyses show that among the 3,800 VC-backed startups operating throughout CEE, fintech stands out as one of the most heavily funded sectors.
This dynamic funding environment is complemented by a notable maturation in fintech startups.
Markets like Poland, the Czech Republic, and Hungary have become vibrant hubs where local and international venture capital (VC) investors recognise the disruptive potential of digital banks, payment facilitators, and Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) providers.
